"extensionism" first presented in January at Cavarzere Venezia in Italy has been setting new records for a GBS advanced world research collection. But it's game changing story is only beginning to unfold...

INCORPORATING both an entirely new installation exhibition presentation at the GBS Superworkrooms as well as an extensive array of new wardrobe design categories and incredible fabrics for men and women of extreme quality and long-term value, the collection.. 8th in a series of GBS Evolution bodies of work since 2021, proposes new advanced design proportions, shapes and silouhettesand immediately achieved new amounts of record order commissions from exclusive GBS worldwide dealers attending the historic new presentation at Cavarzere Vemezia.

In March 2024, a special presentation of “extensionism” in Paris soon followed inside the legendary Leclaireur Hérold design spaces during Paris fashion week. The dynamic GBS “Extensionism at Leclaireur Hérold” 3-day exhibition in Paris was specially installed by GBS architect Davide Gabriele and set designer Giovanna Baseggio in collaboration with Nathalie Blanchet and Armand & Martine Hadida to integrate the all-new advanced research collection and a 5 meter double-faced pure Italian silk 16 momme raso satin exclusive print wall hanging piece made for us by the Brenna family in Como- seamslessly with unique table and sculpture works by Pia Manu and a rare white version of Zaha Hadid’s La Moraine sofa from the space’s extensive design collection.

A special private event marked the firm's 113th Paris collection presentation since 1993 with GBS friends and models informally wearing the new research collection during a relaxed, elegant and very personalized VIP cocktail event at the legendary store and design space- All in a warm, discreet and cordially human atmosphere focused on experiencing the joys of pure design excellence and community that was many oceans away from the usual fashion week circus.

"extensionism" in Berlin

In April 2024 the designer began design and development work on the back residential rooms of Wilhelminist historical German painter Anton Von Werner, whose house, Villa VI on the Potsdamer Strasse was built in 1874 in a new way that pioneered Berlin architecture in the late 1800's with an expanded picture program of wall paintings done by the artist throughout the salon apartments.

In a special new collaboration program with Darklands Berlin, a vastly expanded story of our design work is being created and developed in a totally private residential gallery atmosphere. The program includes special new space, fixture and interior concepts developed by GBS team members architect Davide Gabriele and set-designer Giovanna Basseggio and built by the Carpenterie Metalliche S.A.CA.M. at Cavarzere Venezia to interpret old and new in very surprising ways inside a remarkable, historically-protected building and residential space of one of Berlin's most important historical artists. An initial first phase began in July with special installation works of "extensionism" design pieces for fall/winter 2024. The new GBS Private Residence at Darklands Berlin and its collections will be absolutely unique in the industry and available to view and acquire by personal invitation and appointment only.

The concept is also a revolutionary online e-commerce project personally developed by the firm. At a time when major e-commerce fashion and luxury websites were closing or failing, GBS began work in September 2023 with Oliver Buckley of TAW Vision in New York to redefine the e-commerce approach in fashion and luxury shopping and create a new working model for an independent designer firm and its exclusive distribution partners that would maximize the selection, product information, artistic integrity and principles for the customer who seeks to find and own the best designer handmade clothing wardrobe in the world today...
