THIS special version of the super limited edition GBS Evolution VIII EV8J09 handmade double-breasted 18-button special hand made jacket design is the only piece of its kind made in the entire world. It was created exclusively for Ink in Hong Kong from our original “extensionism” advanced design elongated and proportion silhouette version of a historic military double-breasted naval jacket pattern from our extensive tailoring research and cut using an all-new “Oxygen Winter” luxury research textured silk and wool suiting cloth woven in Biella by the historic Lanificio F.lli Cerruti 1881 mill under the new ownership and direction of Fratelli Piacenza 1733—the world’s oldest still operating woolen mill now in its 14th generation of family ownership & management and the world’s most respected maker of fine wool fabric, combined with an extraordinary combination lining story composition of striped and jacquard weave viscosa luxury lining fabrics made by Ezio Ghiringhelli in Varese--then specially dyed by hand in our world-famous GBS Superworkrooms at Cavarzere Venezia using a process that required over 10 hours of expert work to achieve its special dark muted colors, patina effects, shaping and softness. The design features real hand built working buttonhole surgeon's sleeve cuffs, impeccable clean finished fully lined interior construction, a cascading "extensionsim" changing dimension composition story of advanced multicolored incision-cut real horn button designs made exclusively for us by the world’s greatest living buttonmakers- Claudio and Cinzia Fontana in Parma, Italy; and no less than 18 of our signature real hand stitched buttonholes allowing the jacket to worn buttoned like back in the 18th century Napoleonic style (each one required 10-14 minutes to cut and sew, almost three hours of painstaking expert work just to make the buttonholes alone for the single jacket) and hand stitch detailing in luxurious pure silk Bozzolo Reale Milano Seta thread, generous seam allowances on all major seams which provide alteration capability up to a full size up or down, and is handsigned and numbered by the designer. The piece also features our world leading pure silk label created exclusively for us by Mion SpA in Torreglia which is the first label in the luxury industry to completely eliminate plastic polyester yarns in it, which was hand dyed to achieve its beautiful color and lustre and exquisitely attached by hand using pure silk threads--beautifully attached entirely by hand using pure silk threads.
