THIS super limited EVW7K02 extreme artisanal production GBS Evolution VIII supersweater design is one of only 2 pieces of its kind currently made in the entire world, each created exclusively for Labels in Sittard, Netherlands from a specially developed elongated proportion “extensionism” hooded cardigan sweater pattern developed from our extensive tailoring and technologies research with an extended length minimalist hooded hidden-button front slim-fitting cardigan sweater concept pattern, and expertly knit using classic fully fashioned construction techniques by the Sella family of master knitters in Cavarzere Venezia and over 830 grams of pure Mongolian cashmere ultralux yarn from Italy’s most prestigious cashmere yarn maker, the Cariaggi Lanificio in Cagli Pesaro e Urbino that provides 10 times more insulating power than normal wool. The special knitwear design was then specially individually dyed and treated by hand in our world-famous GBS Superworkrooms at Cavarzere Venezia to achieve its beautiful midnight colors, patina effects, incredible drape, shaping and softness...and will get even softer over time with natural use. The design features all the hallmarks of the very best in Italian knitwear craftsmanship from its impeccable seamless one piece build entirely made from scratch with no sewing seams or cutting to the exquisitely executed “costina” rib-knit sections, “calatura” 4 into 2 shoulder seam and armhole shaping, beautifully clean finished zipper installation, front patch pocket application, and interior hood finishing work- all done entirely by hand with matching Cariaggi cashmere yarn knit trimmings-- plus handsewn pure silk hood strap loops, and no less than 8 spectacular advanced real horn automatica pressure snap button designs made only for us by the world’s greatest living buttonmakers—Claudio and Cinzia Fontana in Parma, each handsewn in pure silk Bozzolo Reale Milano Seta threads (which required at least 17-22 minutes to attach each one, over 2 hours of expert work just on the button attachments alone for a single sweater). The piece also features our world leading pure silk hand dyed label created exclusively for us by Mion SpA in Torreglia which is the first label in the luxury industry to completely eliminate plastic polyester yarns in it, which was specially hand dyed to achieve its beautiful color and lustre and exquisitely attached and sewn in by hand using luxurious pure silk Bozzolo Reale Milano Seta threads.
