THIS super limited edition GBS Evolution IX EV9P08 trouser design is one of only 5 pieces of its kind made by hand in the entire world, each exclusively for Darklands in Berlin from our original classic pleated drop-crotch trouser pattern, from our extensive tailoring research, and cut cut in a luxurous soft pure linen fat twill weave suiting fabric woven for us by the world's leading research fabric maker--Luigi Parisotto in Sarcedo, Vicenza--combined with a beautiful lining story in luxurious pure cupro Bemberg-tipo striped weave linings woven for us by Ezio Ghiringhelli in Varese, then specially dyed and treated by hand in our world-famous GBS superworkrooms at Cavarzere Venezia using English tea leaves and a process that required over 10 hours of expert work to achieve its special colors, patina effects, shaping and softness. The design features hand cut pure silk suspenders made by hand in our studios using special silk woven trim tapes made for us by the venerable Nastrificio Victor in Piove di Sacco Padova and our own GBS pure Como silk exclusive fabrics all specially GBS hand dyed, impeccable hand made hidden button fly-front construction, generous 2,5 centimeter seam allowances on major fitting seams that allow the trouser to be altered and let out for long term wear and use, beautifully finished interior construction, real entirely handsewn taped hemlines (not machined) that required over an hour of expert work to perform, The design features real hand made silk suspenders using our own pure Como silk fabrics and special silk woven tapes and trims that were made specially for us by the venerable Nastrificio Victor mills in Piove di Sacco di Padova, impeccable handbuilt hidden button fly front construction, handcut front and rear besom pockets, beautifully clean-finished interior construction with pure silk taped seams, real hand sewn pure GBS Como Silk taped hemlines (not machined), generous 2,5 centimeter seam allowances on major fitting seams that allow the trouser to be altered and let out, a special all hand sewn button story with beautiful opaque finish real horn buttons and superb real mother-of-pearl suspender buttons made only for us by the world’s greatest living buttonmakers--Claudio and Cinzia Fontana in Parma Italy--and of our signature real hand stitched buttonholes (each one required 10-14 minutes to cut and sew) in luxurious pure silk Bozzolo Reale Milano Seta threads. The piece also features our world leading pure silk hand dyed label created exclusively for us by Mion SpA in Torreglia which is the first label in the luxury industry to completely eliminate plastic polyester yarns in it--beautifully attached all by hand using pure silk thread.
