THIS super limited edition GBS Evolution VIII EV8P06 trouser design is the only one of its kind being made by hand in the world this year. It was created exclusively from our longer length “extensionism” tailored elastic drawstring waist trouser pattern from our extensive tailoring research, and cut using one of the softest fabrics made in the world… an extraordinary all new ultrasoft pure Italian Cariaggi cashmere yarn hyperlux fabric that was woven entirely by hand by Tessitura La Colombina on their legendary 18th century wooden hand looms at Badoere di Morgano requiring almost 2 days of master work just to make enough cloth for a single pair of trousers, then... specially dyed by hand in our world-famous GBS Superworkrooms at Cavarzere Venezia using a process that required over 12 hours of expert work to achieve its unique color, patina effects, shaping, drape and incredible softness-- combined with an exquisite hand-dyed waistband lining in luxury viscosa jacquard created by Ezio Ghiringhelli in Varese. The design features a special classic cut with beautiful interior finishing, impeccable hand-cut front slash and rear besom pockets, exquisite Italian luxury satin tape finished seams throughout, generous 2,5 centimeter seam allowances on both outseam and inseam stitches that allow the trouser to be altered and let out a full size larger than its original cut, expertly executed elastic waist construction all performed by hand and real hand-sewn Italian jacquard weave taped hemlines (not machined) that required over 2 hours of expert work to achieve their beautiful clean finish, superior durability and tailored elegance, and special “extensionism” motif hand-cut vintage recycle leather draw string tab details. The piece also features our world leading hand-dyed pure silk label created exclusively for us by Mion SpA in Torreglia- the first label in the luxury industry to completely eliminate plastic polyester yarns in it which was hand-dyed to achieve its beautiful color and lustre and exquisitely attached by hand using pure silk threads. Variations in color and color density are not imperfections or irregularities, but specific characteristics of this special technique.
