This super limited edition GBS Evolution IX.2 EV9WJ03 handmade jacket design is the only piece of its kind made by hand in the entire world. It was created exclusively from our original modified dolman sleeved wide body Asian historical jacket pattern from our extensive tailoring research, and cut using an elegant lightweight 100% pure wool broken herringbone weave luxury suiting fabric woven only for us by the world's leading research fabric maker---Luigi Parisotto in Sarcedo, Vicenza Italy---then specially dyed by hand in our world-famous GBS Superworkrooms at Cavarzere Venezia using a process that required over 15 hours of expert work to achieve its unique colors, patina effects, shaping, drape and incredible softness. The stunning design features an advanced wide body asiatic silhouette with dolman sleeve styling, handcut oversized fully-self-lined pockets, real single-needle tailored double-stitched seaming throughout the garment performed by a single-needle sewing machine authentic to the period (that takes more than twice as long to create the garment than using typical double-needle equipment), and a first in the industry technique method on bodice and sleeve hems of specially pleated and stitched fabric seaming performed entirely using expert single-needle tailoring with taglio-vivo hemwork that provides greatly increased protection and resistance to fabric unraveling versus normal unfinished taglio-vivo applications, impeccable clean-finished interior construction, and an exquisitely elegant new interpretation of the classic tángzhuāng knotted front closure system using extensive handstitched and hand dyed pure silk grosgrain woven tapes and gorgeous artisan-made incision-cut real horn button designs made only for us by the world’s greatest living buttonmakers—Claudio and Cinzia Fontana in Parma, Italy. all entirely handstitched in pure silk Bozzolo Reale Milano Seta threads (which required at least 25 minutes to create each closure assembly). The piece also features our world leading pure silk hand dyed label created exclusively for us by Mion SpA in Torreglia which is the first label in the luxury industry to completely eliminate plastic polyester yarns in it—also beautifully attached entirely by hand using pure silk threads. Variations in color and color density are not imperfections or irregularities, but specific characteristics of the special fabric, hand dyeing processes, and hand making technique.
