THIS special version of the super limited edition GBS Evolution VI.2 EV6WC01 handmade relaxed-fit balcaman coat design is one of only 2 pieces of its kind made by hand in the entire world, each exclusively created from our modified early 1980’s Italian wide shoulder raglan sleeve medium-length fly-front coat pattern, from our extensive tailoring research, and cut using a luxurious extrafine worsted Super 130’s pure wool “Ceremonia” classic Italian morning stripe suiting cloth woven specially for us by the Lanificio T.G. Fabio in Biella, the world’s leading center for fine virgin wool fabric production, combined with a special lining story using a pure silk 16 momme raso satin exclusive “Starlings” bird print developed by the artist LAS and made only for us by the legendary Brenna family in Como Italy--the world’s leading center for fine silk fabric creation—then individually, specially hand accident dyed in our world-famous GBS Superworkrooms at Cavarzere Venezia using a proprietary process that required over 8 hours of expert work for the single piece to achieve its special mottled colors, patina effects, shaping, drape and incredible softness. The design features expertly tailored invisible seamless fly-front construction with classic raglan sleeve styling, rounded button tab sleeve cuff details specially reproduced hand-cut and built pockets from the original design, beautifully all clean-finished fully-lined interior, generous 2,5 centimeter seam allowances on major fitting seams that allow the coat to be altered, remarkable real horn buttons made for us by the world's greatest living button-makers--Claudio and Cinzia Fontana in Parma--and no less than 8 of our signature real hand-stitched buttonholes (that required at least 10-14 minutes to create each one) in luxurious pure silk Bozzolo Reale Milano Seta thread. The piece also features our world leading pure silk natural hand dyed label created exclusively for us by Mion SpA in Torreglia which is the first label in the luxury industry to completely eliminate plastic polyester yarns in it--beautifully attached entirely by hand using pure silk threads. Variations in color and color density are not imperfections or irregularities, but specific characteristics of the special fabric, and hand dyeing technique.
