HIS special version of the super limited edition ETJ08 jacket design is one of only 3 pieces made by hand in the entire world, each created exclusively using a modified 1910’s 4-button single breasted peak-lapel semi-cutaway jacket pattern from our extensive “earth.land.terra.” 2013 Paris collection tailoring research, and cut in a luxurious extrafine worsted Super 130’s pure wool “Ceremonia” classic Italian morning stripe suiting cloth woven specially for us by the Lanificio T.G. Fabio in Biella, Italy--the world’s leading center for fine virgin wool fabric production— combined with a special patchwork lining story of striped Como viscosa and deluxe jacquard weave linings by Ezio Ghringhelli in Varese with pure cupro Bemberg-type sleeve linings woven for us by Tessitua Mauri in Como--then specially individually hand-dyed in our world-famous GBS Superworkrooms at Cavarzere Venezia with our special extreme handwork artistic artisan process and technique code-named “accident dye” which took over 12 hours of expert work to achieve its precise dark chiaroscuro mottled colors, patina effects, shaping and softness. The design features real hand-made working buttonhole surgeon’s sleeve cuffs, impeccable hand-cut and constructed besom and welt pockets throughout--each fully self-lined in the superb Super 130’s wool cloth for maximum hand comfort and durability impeccable fully-lined interior finishing and hand-cut back vent, generous 2,5 centimeter seam allowances on major fitting seams that allow the piece to be altered and let out for long term wear and service, an extraordinary button composition story of stunning and different real horn designs created specially for us by the world’s greatest living buttonmakers--Claudio and Cinzia Fontana in Parma, Italy--and no less than 11 of our signature real hand-stitched buttonholes (each one required 10-14 minutes to cut and sew) in luxurious pure silk Bozzolo Reale Milano Seta thread, and is handsigned and numbered by the designer. The piece also features our world leading pure silk hand-dyed label created exclusively for us by Mion SpA in Torreglia which is the first label in the luxury industry to completely eliminate plastic polyester yarns in it—beautifully attached entirely by hand using pure silk threads. Variations in color and color density are not imperfections or irregularities, but specific characteristics of the special hand-dyeing and hand-making technique.
