This special version of the super limited edition SEWD01 dress design is one of only 2 pieces of its kind made by hand in the entire world, each exclusively for T.O in Kochi, Japan from our antique 19th century tailored French prairie dress pattern, from our extensive tailoring research and cut using a pure silk 16 momme raso satin exclusive floral print design made for us by the Giordano family in Como Italy, the world's leading region for fine silk fabric creation, then individually hand dyed in our world famous GBS Superworkrooms at Cavarzere Venezia with our advanced extreme artisanal “accident dye” technique that uniquely renders its exceptional uneven colors, mottled patina effects and incredible softness. The design also features button-down welt pockets at the chest, amazing large rectangular shaped real mother-of-pearl button designs created exclusively for us by the world’s greatest living buttonmakers—Claudio and Cinzia Fontana in Parma, and no less than 11 of our signature real hand stitched buttonholes (that required 10-12 minutes to cut and sew each one, over 2 hours of expert and painstaking work on buttonholes and buttons for the single dress) in pure silk Bozzolo Reale Seta Milan threads. The piece also features our world leading pure silk hand dyed label created exclusively for us by Mion SpA in Torreglia which is the first label in the luxury industry to completely eliminate plastic polyester yarns in it– beautifully attached all by hand using pure silk threads. Variations in color and color density are not imperfections or irregularities, but specific characteristics of the special hand washing technique.
