EXCLUSIVE HAND DYED MARZOTTO VINTAGE SERIES "GALLEX" PURE VIRGIN WOOL GLEN PLAID FLANNEL LUXURY SUITING CLOTH WITH PURE CUPRO BEMBERG-TYPE LININGS, SILK HANDSEWN BUTTONHOLES & FONTANA REAL HORN BUTTONS
THIS special version of the super limited edition SEP05 trouser design is one of only 2 pieces of its kind made by hand in the entire world, each created exclusively from our original classic straight leg men’s trouser patterns, and cut using a rare and exclusive vintage pure virgin wool, flannel glen plaid weave "Gallex" Woolmaster luxury suiting cloth made by the legendary Lanificio Gaetano Marzotto & Figli woolen mills in Valdagno that were founded in 1836 by nobleman Luigi Marzotto in the Veneto region of Italy and owned by the Marzotto family up until 2024--combined with pure cupro Bemberg-type linings made for us by Tessitura Mauri in Como for super soft lightness and comfort, then individually hand dyed in our world-famous GBS Superworkrooms at Cavarzere Venezia using a process that required over 12 hours to achieve its special colors, patina effects, shaping and softness. The design features real hand sewn taped hemlines (not machined), generous 2,5 centimeter seam allowances on major fitting seams that allow the piece to be altered and let out for long term wear and value, a beautiful fully-lined with interior Italian satin taped seam finishing, a special metal zipper made for us in Japan by YKK chosen for maximum strength and style, remarkable real horn buttons made exclusively for us by the legendary Fontana family of buttonmakers in Parma, Italy, and our signature real hand-stitched buttonholes (that required at least 10-14 minutes to create each one) in luxurious pure silk Bozzolo Reale Milano Seta threads. The piece also features our world leading pure silk label created exclusively for us by Mion SpA in Torreglia which is the first label in the luxury industry to completely eliminate plastic polyester yarns in it--beautifully attached entirely by hand using pure silk threads.
