EXTENSIVE HANDSTITCH DETAILING WORK, SILK HANDMADE BUTTONHOLES & REAL MOTHER-OF-PEARL BUTTONS

THIS special version of the super limited edition NVS05 archive shirt design is the only piece of its kind made by hand in the entire world this season. It was created as a special series of 6 different variations from our 1940's American western triple-stitch shirt design and cut in a pure silk 16 momme raso satin luxury shirting cloth made for us by the legendary Brenna family in Como, Italy-- the world’s leading silk production region, that was specially hand dyed in our world-famous GBS Superworkrooms at Cavarzere Venezia in Italy to achieve its special colors, patina effects, shaping and incredible softness. The design features real handcut vintage silk patchworks painstaking assembled in our workrooms from vintage Italian pure silk necktie designs and then attached by hand using extensive hand stitch detail work in different colored pure cotton embroidery threads that required over 6 hours of work for each shirt, expertly performed triple and double-stitch construction performed using only single-needle machinery as per the original period techniques (which required 2-4 times more work than using double or triple-needle machinery), impeccable fully clean-finished interiors, exquisite real mother-of-pearl buttons made for us by the Lanzanova family of pearl button specialists in Brescia, Italy; and no less than 9 of our signature handstitched buttonholes (each one required 10-12 minutes to cut and sew) in luxurious pure silk Bozzolo Reale Milano Seta threads. The piece also features our world leading pure silk label created exclusively for us by Mion SpA in Torreglia which is the first label in the luxury industry to completely eliminate plastic polyester yarns in it-- beautifully attached completely by hand with pure silk threads.
