THIS special version of the super limited edition GRWC01 archive handmade coat design is the only piece of its kind made by hand in the entire world. It was created exclusively from our original single-breasted three-quarter length bell sleeve shawl collared 1950's modified opera coat reproduction pattern, from our extensive tailoring research, and cut using an extraordinary cashmere and linen special textural weave design created only for us by the world’s leading research fabric maker—Luigi Parisotto in Sarcedo Vicenza, Italy—then specially washed and treated by hand in our world-famous GBS Superworkrooms at Cavarzere Venezia for extra aging, shaping and softness. The design features an extremely elegant tailored feminine shape and proportions with multiple paneled patterning, drop-shoulder 7/8 length sleeves with expert gathering work at the shoulder seams, beautiful turned up cuff detailing on sleeves, extensive invisible hand sewn hemwork seams performed throughout, exquisite fully-cleaned finished interior construction with Italian cotton taped seams throughout, exquisitely detailed real corozo-nut buttons designs made exclusively for us by the world’s greatest living buttonmakers—Claudio and Cinzia Fontana in Parma, Italy, and no less than six of our signature real hand stitched buttonholes (each one required 13-17 minutes to cut and sew on the challenging textural fabric) in pure silk Bozzolo Reale Milano Seta threads. The piece also features our world leading pure silk hand dyed label created exclusively for us by Mion SpA in Torreglia which is the first label in the luxury industry to completely eliminate plastic polyester yarns in it—beautifully attached entirely by hand using pure silk threads.
