THIS special version of the super limited edition GRC08 long coat design is currently the only piece of its kind made by hand in the entire world. It was created exclusively from our original 3-button notch-lapel coat pattern from our extensive tailoring research and cut by hand using a superlux, supersoft 540 gram 3-ply Alashan pure cashmere coating cloth woven in Pollone Biella, Italy by the oldest woolen mill and most respected cashmere fabric makers in the world-Fratelli Piacenza 1733 Spa, fully-lined with a luxury lining story in an exclusive pure 16-momme silk raso Darkland’s Anton Von Werner print lining created for us by the legendary Brenna family in Como, the world’s leading silk production region, which was individually hand accident dyed in our studios using a special process that took over 8 hours for the silk to achieve its unique colors, patina effects and softness. The piece was then specially hand dyed,washed and treated in our workrooms at Cavarzere Venezia using an intricate series of processes which required another 12 hours of painstaking expert work to achieve its beautiful colors, chiaroscuro patina effects, shaping and softness. The design features real working surgeon's cuffs with handsewn buttonholes, all hand cut and built welt and besom pockets throughout the garment each lined with the very expensive self-fabric 3-ply cashmere cloth for supreme comfort, security and durability; all handsewn hem constructions and generous 2,5 cm seam allowances on all major fitting seams to allow for ample alterations capability, impeccable real horn buttons made exclusively for us by the greatest living buttonmakers in the world- Claudio and Cinzia Fontana in Parma, and no less than ten of our signature real hand stitched buttonholes (each one requires 8-10 minutes to cut and sew) in pure silk Bozzolo Reale Milano Seta thread… and is handsigned and numbered by the designer. The piece also features our world leading pure silk natural hand dyed label created exclusively for us by Mion SpA in Torreglia which is the first label in the luxury industry to completely eliminate plastic polyester yarns in it, and comes with a matching undyed pure silk deluxe GBS handmade triple filtration tailor's respiratory community mask as standard equipment for ongoing Covid-19 pandemic protection wear. Variations in color and color density are not imperfections or irregularities, but specific characteristics of the special fabric, and hand making technique. Please treat buttons and buttonholes with extreme care. We recommend professional cleaning or hand wash in cold water and protect buttons with foil or plastic wrap when washing. Do not wash with other items. Do not put in washer or dryer.
