THIS very special GBS Evolution III version of the super limited edition GRC08 handmade topcoat design is one of only 3 pieces of its kind currently being made by hand in the entire world, each exclusively for Blue Mountain School in London. It was created from our original single-breasted 3-button notched-lapel classic long coat length pattern, from our extensive tailoring research, and cut using hyperlux “Cocoon” fully CITES certified 80 percent Baby Cashmere and 20 percent Peruvian Vicunya 330 gram fabric woven in Pollone Biella, Italy, by the oldest woolen mill and most respected cashmere and fine wool fabric makers in the world- Fratelli Piacenza 1733 Spa... combined with a fully-lined luxury lining story in an exclusive pure 16-momme silk raso paisley print lining created for us by the legendary Brenna family in Como, the world’s leading silk production region, then specially hand dyed, washed and treated in our workrooms at Cavarzere Venezia using an intricate series of processes which required over 12 hours of painstaking expert work to achieve its beautiful colors, patina effects and softness. The design features real working handmade surgeon's cuffs, hand-cut besom welt and flap pockets and tailored center vent, expertly cut and sewn matched plaids, hidden lapel button which allows the coat to be buttoned all the way up for cooler weather or sportier styling, generous 2,5 centimeter seam allowances on major fitting seams that allow the jacket to be altered and let out a full size larger than its original cut, impeccably finished interior with handsewn hems and closures, remarkable new “Alessandro” design real horn buttons made for us in Parma, Italy by Claudio and Cinzia Fontana, the greatest living buttonmakers in the world today, and no less than 10 of our signature real hand-stitched buttonholes (that require 10-12 minutes to cut and sew each one) along with extensive handstitched detailing work on lapel, pockets and label all done in pure silk Bozzolo Reale Seta Milan thread. The piece also features our world leading pure silk hand dyed label created exclusively for us by Mion SpA in Torreglia which is the first label in the luxury industry to completely eliminate plastic polyester yarns in it--exquisitely attached entirely by hand using pure silk threads.

...the special pure Peruvian Vicunya label issued exclusively for the piece by the Government of Peru is attached entirely by hand in the top center back of the coat's lining interior, clearly visible for custom's agents and physical proof of the article's fully-compliant CITES certifified fabric fibres and materials and critical to ensure its owner of its legitimate economic financial value and its sustainable, humane and ethical sourcing. The fully-lined luxury lining story was created using an exclusive pure 16-momme silk raso paisley print lining created for us by the legendary Brenna family in Como, the world’s leading center for fine silk fabric creation, then specially hand dyed, washed and treated in our workrooms at Cavarzere Venezia using an intricate series of processes which required over 12 hours of painstaking expert work to achieve the coat's beautiful colors, patina effects, shaping, drape and softness...

The design features very special old-fashioned canvas horsehair front and collar interfacings totally hand-padstitched with over 1000 invisible hand stitches inside to give it its remarkable natural roll line along lapels and collar; and real handmade working buttonhole surgeon's cuffs

The elegant “Alessandro” design real horn buttons were made for only for us by the world's greatest living buttonmakers-- Claudio and Cinzia Fontana in Parma, Italy-- with no less than 10 of our signature real hand-stitched buttonholes (that required 10-14 minutes to cut and sew each one) all done in pure silk Bozzolo Reale Seta Milan threads which cost over 1,40 euro wholesale per meter...
