HAND DYED ALL HANDWOVEN TESSITURA LA COLOMBINA PURE LUXURY COTTON YARN FABRIC WITH SILK HAND-STITCHED BUTTONHOLES & FONTANA REAL HORN JADE TINTED BUTTONS
This super limited edition GBS Evolution IX EV9S16 shirt is the only piece of its kind currently made by hand in the entire world. It was created exclusively from our original longer proportion relaxed fit tailored shirt pattern from our extensive tailoring research, and cut using an incredibly light completely handwoven pure luxury cotton yarn textured weave raised plaid check fabric created exclusively for us on the 18th century wooden hand looms of Tessitura La Colombina in Badoere di Morgano, Italy requiring almost 2 full days to create just enough cloth to make the single shirt, then individually hand dyed in our world famous GBS Superworkrooms at Cavarzere Venezia using a process that required over 8 hours of expert work to achieve its unique colors, patina effects, shaping and softness. The design features a uniquely balanced cut, fit and design; impeccable clean-finished French-seamed interior construction, elegant squared hems and side slits with longer back, a new longer proportion fit and cut from our medieval period research, extraordinary real horn jade tinted buttons made for us by the world's greatest living buttonmakers--Claudio and Cinzia Fontana in Parma, Italy; and no less than 9 of our signature real hand sewn buttonholes with pure silk Bozzolo Milano Seta Reale threads, each one required 12-16 minutes to cut and sew on the challenging handwoven fabric, over 2 hours of painstaking expert work just to make the buttonholes alone for a single shirt. The piece also features our world leading pure silk label created exclusively for us by Mion SpA in Torreglia which is the first label in the luxury industry to completely eliminate plastic polyester yarns in it--beautifully attached all by hand using pure silk threads.
