This super limited edition GBS Evolution VII EV7J06 handmade jacket design is one of only 4 pieces of its kind made by hand in the entire world this year from an advanced six-button double-breasted 4-pocket front, peak-lapel extended length tailored jacket pattern from our extensive tailoring research, and cut in a very special “Superleggero” silk and linen textured weave superlight suiting cloth woven only for us by the world’s leading research fabric maker- Luigi Parisotto in Sarcedo, Vicenza in Italy, then specially hand dyed in our world-famous GBS Superworkrooms at Cavarzere Venezia using a process that required over 16 hours of expert work to achieve its unique color, patina effects, drape, shaping and softness- combined with an exquisite partial lining story of pure silk 16 momme raso satin floral exclusive print fabric developed for us by the legendary Brenna family in Como Italy, the world’s leading center for fine silk fabric creation. The design features very special old-fashioned canvas horsehair front and collar interfacings totally hand-padstitched with over 1000 invisible hand stitches inside to give it its remarkable soft, natural roll line along lapels and collar, real working 5 buttonhole surgeon’s sleeve cuffs, hand-cut besom, flap and welt pockets inside and out, hand cut side vents, generous 2,5 centimeter seam allowances on major fitting seams that allow the piece to be altered and let out a full size larger than its original cut, beautifully clean-finished interiors with special Italian jacquard weave and raso satin taped-finish seaming throughout, elegant GBS hand dyed real Corozo nut buttons made exclusively for us by the world’s greatest living buttonmakers- Claudio and Cinzia Fontana in Parma; and our signature real hand-stitched buttonholes (each one required 10-12 minutes to cut and sew) in different colored luxurious pure silk Bozzolo Reale Milano Seta threads. The piece also features our world leading pure silk hand-dyed label created exclusively for us by Mion SpA in Torreglia which is the first label in the luxury industry to completely eliminate plastic polyester yarns in it—beautifully attached entirely by hand using pure silk threads.
