EXCLUSIVE GBS HAND-ACCIDENT DYED PURE COMO SILK LUXURY SUITING CLOTH WITH PURE SILK BATTING, SPECIAL EZIO GHIRINGHELLI & TESSITURA MAURI LINING STORY, SILK HAND-STITCHED BUTTON-HOLES & FONTANA DESiGN INCISION-CUT REAL COROZO BUTTONS
THIS special version of the GBS Evolution IV.2 super limited edition CLJ09 quilted tailored jacket design is the only one of its kind made in the entire world. It was created exclusively from our classic modified 1910’s handmade 5-button single-breasted peak lapel jacket pattern from our extensive tailoring research and cut using a luxurious pure silk shangtung weave suiting fabric woven in Como, Italy- the world’s leading region for fine silk fabric creation, combined with a new superlux feather light all natural (no poly or synthetic fiber fillers) Italian pure silk batting interior developed in Bergamo, and finished with a dramatic lining story in geometric luxury viscosa lining fabrics made for us by Ezio Ghiringhelli in Varese. The piece was then individually GBS hand “accident dyed” in our world-famous GBS Superworkrooms at Cavarzere Venezia using an extreme artisanal process which required over 14 hours of highly specialized work to achieve its amazing mottled colors, patina effects, softness and textures. The design features single-piece individual single-stitch quilting detail work, elegant hand cut besom well pockets, and peak lapel which can be worn up or down, exquisitely clean finished fully-lined interior construction which could be worn inside out, stunning advanced incision-cut and tinted real corozo-nut buttons produced specially for us by the world’s greatest living button-makers- Cinzia and Claudio Fontana in Parma, Italy, and our signature real hand-stitched silk buttonholes and loops (that required at least 10-12 minutes to create each one) in luxurious pure silk Bozzolo Reale Milano Seta threads. The piece also features our world leading pure silk label created exclusively for us by Mion SpA in Torreglia which is the first label in the luxury industry to completely eliminate plastic polyester yarns in it, and comes with a deluxe GBS handmade triple filtration tailor's respiratory community mask as standard equipment for ongoing Covid-19 pandemic protection wear. Variations in color and color density are not imperfections or irregularities, but specific characteristics of the special hand making techniques. Please treat buttons and buttonholes with care. We recommend professional cleaning or hand wash in cold water and protect buttons with foil or plastic wrap when washing. Do not wash with other items. Do not put in washer or dryer.
