THIS special version of the super limited edition BGC06 handmade supercoat design design is one of only 2 pieces of its kind made by hand in the entire world, each created exclusively for Blue Mountain School in London from our modified early 1980’s Italian wide shoulder raglan sleeve long-length fly-front coat pattern, from our extensive tailoring research, and cut using an ultra-lux incredibly substantial and super soft top-of-the-line 3-ply 550 gram Alashan pure cashmere coating fabric woven in Pollone Biella, Italy, by the oldest woolen mill and most respected cashmere fabric makers in the world, Fratelli Piacenza 1733 Spa, in Pollone Biella, Italy, combined with a stunning hand dyed lining composition story in luxury pure silk 16-momme raso satin exclusive paisley and polka-dot prints made for us by the legendary Brenna family in Como, Italy--the world’s leading region for fine silk fabric creation, then specially washed and treated by hand in our world-famous GBS Superworkrooms at Cavarzere Venezia for extra aging, shaping, drape and softness. The design features a special reversible collar point tab for raw weather buttoning of the collar at highest point, expertly tailored invisible seamless fly-front construction with extensive hand stitch work detailing, specially reproduced hand cut and built pockets from the original design, remarkable real horn incision-cut design buttons made for us in Parma, Italy by Italy’s greatest buttonmakers, Claudio and Cinzia Fontana, and our signature real hand-stitched buttonholes (that required at least 12-16 minutes to create each one) in luxurious pure silk Bozzolo Reale Milano Seta thread. The piece also features our world leading pure silk natural hand dyed label created exclusively for us by Mion SpA in Torreglia which is the first label in the luxury industry to completely eliminate plastic polyester yarns in it—beautifully attached completely by hand using pure silk threads.Variations in color and color density are not imperfections or irregularities, but specific characteristics of the special fabric and hand making technique. Please treat buttons and buttonholes with care. We recommend professional clean only or hand wash cold water and protecting buttons with foil or plastic wrap when washing. Do not put in washing machine or machine dryer.
